Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect during my first visit with Dr. Karns?

Dr. Jennifer L. Karns, DC spends extra time with every patient during their initial consultation. She will review your medical history, discuss your current symptoms and goals, and perform a gentle physical evaluation to create a personalized care plan tailored to your needs.

Is chiropractic care safe for seniors?

Yes. Dr. Karns uses gentle, low-force techniques specifically adapted for older adults. Treatments are customized to account for conditions like arthritis, joint sensitivity, or bone density concerns to ensure your comfort and safety.

Do I need a referral to schedule an appointment?

In most cases, a doctor’s referral is not required to see a chiropractor. You can call our office directly at 707-933-1533 to schedule your consultation.

What should I wear or bring to my appointment?

We recommend wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows you to move easily. Please bring a photo ID, any insurance cards you plan to use, and a list of any current medications or previous X-rays/MRI reports if available.

Do you speak Spanish? / ¿Hablan español?

Yes! Our office staff is fully bilingual in English and Spanish (Hablamos español). We are happy to assist you, answer questions, and schedule your visits in the language you feel most comfortable with.
